Services

Kati Collective works at the intersection of women, digital, and partnerships. In all of our engagements, we apply a gender lens, thinking strategically about how to engage men and boys while concurrently supporting women and girls in LMICs.

How We Approach Creating Change
Women
A study by the International Center for Research on Women found that when a woman dies from pregnancy or childbirth-related causes, her illness and death begin a chain of loss that harms her children’s health, education, and future opportunities as well as devastating her loved ones and deepening household poverty. The economic and human costs of maternal death are truly a price too high to bear. At Kati Collective, we know that when women are able to remain healthy and contribute financially, economies grow and generations of lives are bettered.
Digital
Digital tools and data analytics are becoming pervasive in every corner of the globe. The potential is great for these innovations to impact everything from providing real-time accessible health, education, agricultural, and financial data to charting human migratory patterns and monitoring disease outbreaks.

These solutions, however, are currently inundating host countries with disconnected results, contributing to a confused digital landscape. Kati Collective can be the glue which mends this fragmentation and lack of coordination which is all-too-common across development. Further, we understand that many of the innovations that are working on the ground right now are not necessarily on the radar of large, international stakeholders. We work along this entire continuum—small grassroots organizations to global multilaterals—talking with and involving global donors and social entrepreneurs in actionable, realistic solutions.
Partnerships
Partnerships have been elevated to the level of having their own Sustainable Development Goal (Goal #17: focused on finance, technology, capacity building, trade, and systemic issues). We need to think beyond the early iterations of public-private partnerships and look to unconventional alliances. We believe in employing a social entrepreneurship lens and approaching partnerships with the goal of aligning agendas to move some of our toughest issues forward collectively.
